Education
Graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Hartline pursued Plan II, an esteemed liberal arts honors program. Her journey led her to the MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she engaged in research before embarking on medical studies at UT Health San Antonio. Throughout her education, she found solace and fascination in the anatomy lab, later returning as a teacher’s assistant during her final years.
Her path then led her to Methodist Dallas for her general surgery residency, where she gained invaluable experience in various surgical fields, including vascular surgery, laying the groundwork for her future as a microsurgeon and Plastic Surgery Fellowship. This diverse training equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of patient care and safety.

Personal Life
Dr. Hartline’s passion for science and anatomy blossomed during her upbringing, particularly when the veterinarian visited her family’s ranch to tend to the horses and cows. The ranch instilled in her values of hard work, dedication, and commitment that continue to shape her daily life.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Hartline finds joy in maintaining her family’s ranches alongside her husband, Robert, and caring for their three beloved rescue dogs, Bishop, Winnie, and Benny.
Robert and Cassie also recently welcomed a daughter, and are overjoyed at the love she has brought into their lives.
