A Night to Remember: Giving Back with Grace

There’s something special about getting dressed up for a good cause. The sparkle of the evening, the elegance of the venue, the energy in the room – it’s not just about fashion or formality. It’s about community. And this week’s charity event hosted by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Brazos Valley Chapter at Tootsies was the perfect reminder of that.

I was honored to be in the room with so many strong, intelligent, and generous women. We came together to raise funds for Grace After Fire, an organization dedicated to empowering and supporting women veterans as they navigate life after service. Their mission: restoring dignity, purpose, and sisterhood – something I believe in deeply, and I was proud to support their work in any way I could.

Tootsies was glowing. From the runway to the conversation circles, there was a feeling of joy in the air, and I found myself so grateful, not only to be there, but to be surrounded by women who lead with both heart and style.

One of my favorite moments of the evening? Watching generations of women – mothers, daughters, grandmothers – standing together, dressed to the nines, laughing, supporting one another, and reminding all of us that beauty and strength are generational gifts.

As someone who believes deeply in legacy – both in my surgical practice and in my personal life – events like this bring everything full circle. Philanthropy and aesthetic care may seem like separate worlds, but at their core, both are about restoration. About giving. About helping something or someone shine with intention and grace.

If you were at the event, thank you for the warm hugs, kind words, and gorgeous company. To the Brazos Valley Chapter of the DAR thank you for having me as your guest – I hope to see many of you again soon. And to the lovely women who won my donations? I can’t wait to welcome you into the office. You’re in for something special!

Showing up for others, beautifully and wholeheartedly, is always in style.

With love,
Dr. Cassie Hartline
